Commit Changes

You must commit job property and job flow changes to the appropriate CA Workload Automation AE server to make the changes permanent on that server.

Note: You must apply your job property changes before you perform a commit; however, it is not necessary to save the Application Editor workspace before you perform a commit.

Important! If you have added a new job to the Graph and a job with the same name and job type exists on the server to which you are committing the flow, the new job replaces the existing job; however, if both job names are the same but the job types are different, an error message is displayed in the Job Commit Progress dialog, and the existing job remains unchanged.

Follow these steps:

  1. Select Commit to Scheduler from the drop-down list and click Go in the Flow section.

    The Commit Jobs dialog opens.

  2. Select the server you want to commit the changes to, select the appropriate options, and click OK.

Note: You must select Permanently Delete Listed Jobs to delete the jobs and box jobs in the Delete List on the specified server.

The Job Commit Progress dialog appears and the changes are committed to the server.

  3. Click Close when the commit process completes.

The Job Commit Progress dialog closes.
