Reason:
The version number of Shared Tape Allocation Manager (STAM) currently executing does not match the version number of STAM used to format the STAM control file. This error occurs when a new version of STAM (CA VM:Tape) has been installed with a new control file format that is incompatible with previous releases of STAM. STAM initialization aborts. If the VMTAPE CONFIG file specifies STAM AUTO, CA VM:Tape initialization also fails.
Action:
Ask the CA VM:Tape system administrator to use the VMTSTF utility to reformat the control file. When the problem is corrected, start STAM again and, if necessary, start CA VM:Tape again.
