CATALOG Command

Use the CATALOG command to change volume or data set information in the TMC for a specified tape.

You can change the following volume information:

• Expiration date
• Volume chaining
• Values in site-defined fields

You can change the following data set information:

• Number of blocks
• Data set name
• Job name

You can also add and drop data sets.
