Change a Log Message

You are the SALES security group manager and you need to change the time of training sessions (from 10:00 to 11:00) in the log message you created in the previous example.

  1. Access the logon message you created for security group SALES by entering: 
    vmsecure logmsg sales

    This command puts you in XEDIT and displays the text of the current log message for SALES.

    Enter input mode, then change the time in the message:

    Attention SALES members! Don’t forget the training sessions
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week at 11:00.
  2. Save your changes and exit the file.
