VMSCHED CANCEL Rule

To restrict the user IDs that are allowed to cancel CA VM:Schedule jobs owned by user ID SAMM, add the following rules to SAMM’s user rules file:

REJECT * VMSCHED CANCEL *
ACCEPT NORMP VMSCHED CANCEL *
ACCEPT CLIFFC VMSCHED CANCEL FREEFORM

These rules allow only NORMP and CLIFFC to cancel SAMM’s requests, and CLIFFC can cancel only the job called FREEFORM.

If SAMM is a member of the security group SALES and you want to allow all members of the SALES group to cancel any of SAMM’s jobs, add a rule to SAMM’s user rules file with the GROUP option:

ACCEPT * VMSCHED CANCEL * (GROUP

Note: When an asterisk is specified as the requester on an ACCEPT rule, and the GROUP option is also specified, the rule applies to all members of the target user ID’s own security group.
