To allow unrestricted access to a minidisk, use the NOPASS option on the LINK rule. The NOPASS option means that a password check is not to be done, regardless of whether the target (in this case, a minidisk) has a password.
For example, you do not want to require REBECCAH to enter a minidisk password or her logon password to link to your 191 minidisk. You want to give her an unconditional read‑only link. This is done with the NOPASS option. You still want to restrict all other users from linking to your 191 minidisk. To allow REBECCAH to get a read link to your 191 minidisk without specifying a password, add the NOPASS option to REBECCAH’s rule as shown below:
ACCEPT REBECCAH LINK 191 RR (NOPASS REJECT * LINK 191 RR
