Minidisk Password

To require a particular requester to supply a minidisk password, create a rule that accepts a link request from REBECCAH to your 191 minidisk with RR (read only) access. The action is ACCEPT; the requester is REBECCAH; the command is LINK. The rule would appear in your user rules file as:

ACCEPT REBECCAH LINK 191 RR

Let REBECCAH know that the read password for the minidisk is ASTA. When REBECCAH links to your 191 minidisk with read‑only access, she must enter this password

Next, create another rule that would reject the same request from all other user IDs. The action is REJECT; the requester is *; the command is LINK. This rule would appear in your user rules file as:

REJECT * LINK 191 RR

REBECCAH can still link to your 191 minidisk in read‑only mode with the read password because you have specifically given REBECCAH that privilege. However, REBECCAH is the only one who can link to your 191 minidisk in read‑only mode. Even if REBECCAH tells NICKT your read password, NICKT cannot link to your 191 minidisk with read‑only access.
