Step 8: Re–IPL Using the New CP Component

You need to re-IPL the system to invoke the new CP nucleus.

To re-IPL using new CP nucleus

1. Shut down and re–IPL your system.
2. Log on to VMSECURE. Type IPL CMS. Type YES to initialize. The Rules Facility is now installed.
3. Test the facility. From VMANAGER, verify the CP component configuration, using the QCPCFG command:

   vmsecure qcpcfg
   

   Output similar to the following displays:

   ACITRACE	ON	63
   CPACTION	*		ACCEPT
   CPACTION	OPERATOR	ACCEPT

   CPACTION	VMBACKUP	ACCEPT
   CPACTION	MAINT		ACCEPT

   CPACTION	VMBAT002	WAIT
   CPACTION	VMBAT003	WAIT
   

   When you are finished testing, continue to Post–Installation Recommendations.
