Creating Mirror Image Backups

You create a mirror image of the DRCT minidisk on another minidisk by using the VMXBKP02 utility. This utility uses the IBM DDR utility. A mirror image backup is a duplicate copy of the DRCT minidisk that can be used directly by CA VM:Director in the event the original DRCT minidisk is corrupted.

We recommend that you perform your daily backups of the CA VM:Director DRCT minidisk with either this VMXBKP02 utility or the VMXBKP03 utility (see below). If a hardware failure corrupts the DRCT minidisk, you can restore the source directory and put it back in service immediately from either of these backups.
