Entering CA VM:Backup Commands From CP

If you are issuing CA VM:Backup commands from a VM operator user ID running in CP mode, prefix the VMBACKUP command with the CP SMSG command.

For example, to use a VM operator user ID running in CP mode to issue the SUBMIT command to start the weekly backup, enter the command in the following format:

cp smsg vmbackup submit weekly

Important! Do not issue commands or use CP SMSG with commands that result in full-screen prompting, such as the RESTORE command.
