Entering CMS and CP Commands From the CA VM:Backup Service Virtual Machine

When you enter CMS or CP commands on the CA VM:Backup console, include the prefix cms or #cp, respectively. These prefixes distinguish these commands from CA VM:Backup commands.

For example, to run CA VM:Backup in disconnected mode, enter the following command:

#cp disc 

The #cp prefix tells CA VM:Backup to execute the CP DISCONN command. If you do not enter #cp, the product interprets disc as the CA VM:Backup DISCARD command.
