Merge/purge/copy (MPC) jobs specify that CA VM:Backup is to copy specified domains, CMS files, SFS files, and BFS files from input tapes to output tapes. Only authorized clients, such as CA VM:Archiver, can submit MPC jobs. The CA VM:Backup system administrator cannot submit MPC jobs for CA VM:Backup backup tapes. MPC jobs can be created only using TPI.
