CA VM:Backup runs as a disconnected service virtual machine. Users communicate with CA VM:Backup through the VMBACKUP MODULE. The filename of the VMBACKUP MODULE file must be the same as the user ID of the CA VM:Backup service virtual machine at your data center. Both files must reflect the current release of CA VM:Backup that is running.
The VMBACKUP MODULE resides on a public minidisk, forwards all requests to the CA VM:Backup service virtual machine, and transfers responses from CA VM:Backup to the user.
Note: Modules from a prior release are not forward compatible and therefore sometimes do not work properly with the new release. We recommend using the new modules with the new release.
