Check Data Integrity on Demand
You can run a data integrity check on a database or raw events at any time on a selected CA User Activity Reporting Module server.
To run a data integrity check on demand
- Click the Administration tab, and click the Archival Management subtab.
- Expand the Data Integrity Folder, and select the CA User Activity Reporting Module server where you want to run a check.
- Select Database or Raw Events.
- Select a time range for your check.
- (Optional) Select Federated to run the check on any federated servers visible to the selected server.
- Click Validate Now.
CA User Activity Reporting Module displays the following details according to the selected data integrity check:
- A list of the verified raw events or databases.
- Number of successful validations and failed validations.
- If you selected Database, the number of valid and invalid databases.
- If you selected Raw Events and the database contains events with the raw event signature, CA User Activity Reporting Module validates the database for secure raw events. If the validation succeeds, CA User Activity Reporting Module displays a confirmation message, and increments the Success count by one. If the validation fails, CA User Activity Reporting Module displays an error message, provides an option to export the tampered raw events onto your local computer in a CSV.gz format, and increments the Failure count by one.
- If you selected Raw Events and the database does not contain events with the raw event signature, CA User Activity Reporting Module rejects the database, and displays an error message.
Note: You cannot perform a data integrity check on raw events received from previous versions of CA User Activity Reporting Module r12.5.02.
