Update Remote Agent with a Single Server
If you changed the only server that a remote agent uses and the server belongs to the Default Agent Group, update the remote agent to redirect to the new server.
Follow these steps:
- Stop the remote agent.
- Open the Administrative UI.
- Navigate to Administration, Log Collection.
- Expand Agent Explorer, Default Agent Group, and select the remote agent.
- Click the Delete icon in the right pane and confirm the deletion.
- Log on to the remote agent machine and navigate to the agent bin folder.
- Execute the following command to redirect the remote agent to the new server:
agentconfig -redirectagent -server <new_UARM_server_hostname> -authcode <authentication_key>
- new_UARM_server_hostname

Specifies the hostname of the new CA User Activity Reporting Module server.
- authentication key
-
Specifies the authentication key of the remote agent to communicate with CA User Activity Reporting Module.
- Verify that all the agent processes are running.
