Distributed Log Collection with Federated Search Capability

Consolidated Reporting Across Two or More Federated Log Manager Soft Appliances

Problem:

The organization needs to collect logs from two high-volume, geographically separate data centers, but report on the consolidated data from just one of the data centers.

Solution:

The installer installs two CA User Activity Reporting Module soft appliances, one in the organization's New York data center, and one in the Virginia data center. The Administrator configures the CA User Activity Reporting Module server in New York as the primary CA User Activity Reporting Module server, and all reports and alerts configured and run from the New York site include data from the Virginia site as well.
