Installing the CA SRM Web Reporter creates a central database using MS SQL Server, configures user interface called Web Reporter Control Panel and installs CA Business Intelligence.
The Web Reporter Data Bridge (WRDB) that runs on each CA SRM application server exports its data, including trend data to the Web Reporter central database.
From the Web Reporter server, you can operate the Web Reporter Control Panel to centrally configure data synchronization for specific CA SRM application servers.
When you initially configure a CA SRM application server to be managed by the Web Reporter, all of the data from that CA SRM Pervasive SQL database is uploaded to the central repository. From that point on, CA SRM keeps track of newly collected data on a per-managed object basis. As new data collection cycles complete on the CA SRM server, it synchronizes the parent and child data for each managed object to the central database.
