To connect to a mainframe host, the z/OS agent requires an IP address, port number, user ID, and password to connect to z/OS servers. The Windows Client uses the IP address and port number from the host definition during the connection process. You must supply your z/OS user ID and password to the Windows Client each time you login to a z/OS host using the Windows Client.
