Configure a Response Attribute that Contain Variables
A response may contain one or more response attributes whose values are determined by variable objects.
Note: When you create or modify a Policy Server object in the Policy Server User Interface, use ASCII characters. Object creation or modification with non-ASCII characters is not supported.
To configure a response attribute that contains a variable
- Follow the instructions in Configure a Response to create a response.
- In the SiteMinder Response dialog, make sure the SiteMinder radio button is selected in the Agent Type group box and Web Agent is selected in the drop-down list.
- Click Create.
The SiteMinder Response Attribute Editor dialog opens. The Attribute Kind group box contains a Variable Definition radio button.
- From the Attribute drop-down list, select a type of response attribute.
- In the Attribute Kind group box, select the Variable Definition radio button.
- In the Attribute Fields groups box, enter a name in the Variable Name field.
This name will be used to identify the response attribute.
- In the Variable field, enter the name of the variable object that will be evaluated to provide the value for the response attribute, or click the Lookup button to open a dialog where you can select an existing variable object.
If you click the Lookup button, the SiteMinder Variable Lookup dialog opens.
- Click OK to save your changes and close the Response Attribute dialog.
