Configure a Response

When you configure a SiteMinder response, you must create the response in the SiteMinder Response dialog, then add response attributes to the response.

Note: When you create or modify a Policy Server object in the Policy Server User Interface, use ASCII characters. Object creation or modification with non-ASCII characters is not supported.

To configure a response

  1. Log into the Policy Server User Interface.
  2. If you have the Manage System and Domain Objects privilege:
    1. In the Object pane, click on the Domains tab.
    2. Select the policy domain to which you want to add a response.
  3. You have the Manage Domain Objects privilege:

In the Object Pane, select the policy domain to which you want to add a response.

  4. From the menu bar, select Edit, <domain name>, Create Response.

    The SiteMinder Response dialog opens.

  5. In the Name field, enter the name of the new response.
  6. Optionally, in the Description field, enter a description for the new response.

    SiteMinder

Indicates the response passes information to a SiteMinder Web Agent or Affiliate Agent.

    RADIUS

Indicates the response passes information to a RADIUS Agent.

  8. If you selected the SiteMinder radio button, select a SiteMinder Agent type from the drop-down list in the Agent Type group box.
