Add Identity Manager Environments to a Policy Domain

If you have purchased CA Identity Manager (Identity Manager ), you may add Identity Manager Environments to a policy domain. Identity Manager Environments are views of management namespaces. These namespaces are constructed by Identity Manager administrators to define default roles, tasks, administrators, and properties for Identity Manager .

Note: You may only add an Identity Manager Environment to a policy domain if you have also added the corresponding user directory to the policy domain. For information about adding user directories to policy domains, see Assign User Directories.

To add an Identity Manager Environment to a policy domain

  1. In the Policy Domain dialog, select the Identity Manager Environments tab.
  2. Select the Identity Manager Environment that you want to associate with the policy domain from the drop-down list at the bottom of the tab.
  3. Click Add.

The Policy Server User Interface adds your selection to the list of Identity Manager Environments at the top of the tab.

Note: If the user directory associated with the Identity Manager Environment has not been added to the policy domain you will receive an error that instructs you to add the user directory before adding the Identity Manager Environment.

  4. Click OK to save your selections and close the dialog.

The Identity Manager Environments that you selected will be available when you create policies. For information about using Identity Manager Environments with policies, see CA Identity Manager Operations Guide.
