Edit a Host Configuration Object

To modify parameter settings in the Host Configuration Object, edit the name and/or value.

Note: When you create or modify a Policy Server object in the Policy Server User Interface, use ASCII characters. Object creation or modification with non-ASCII characters is not supported.

To edit a single, unencrypted parameter in the Host Configuration Object

  1. Open the Policy Server User Interface.
  2. In the System tab, select the Host Conf Objects to display the Host Conf Object List in the right pane.
  3. Right-click the Host Configuration Object that you want to modify.
  4. Select Properties of Configuration Object.

    The Host Configuration Object Dialog box opens.

  5. Do one of the following:

    The Edit Parameter Dialog box opens with the Plain radio button selected by default.

  6. In the Parameter Name field, specify a name. If you are editing only the value, go to the next step.

    If applicable, remove the pound sign (#) to make the parameter active.

  7. In the Value field, enter the modified value and click OK.

    You return to the Host Configuration Object Properties dialog.

    Note: New parameters are added to the end of the list in the Host Configuration Object Properties dialog. To move a parameter in the list, select it and use the up or down arrows.

  8. Click OK.
