Configure an Encrypted Parameter

In order to configure an encrypted parameter, follow the instructions for Edit a Host Configuration Object, with the following exceptions.

To configure an encrypted parameter

  1. In the Edit Parameter Dialog box, select the Encrypted radio button.
  2. In the Parameter Name field, enter a new or modified name for the parameter.
  3. In the Encrypted Value field, enter the value that you want encrypted. It will be encrypted automatically. Re-enter this value in the Confirm encrypted value field.
  4. Click OK to finish.
