Configure Registration Services To Use The Appropriate FCC Files

The FCC file, which creates the initial user login screen, identifies which locale properties file Registration Services should use for text strings.

To localize Registration Services, you need to configure Registration Services to retrieve FCC files for the appropriate language from the Forms directory.

To configure registration services to use the appropriate FCC files

  1. In the Policy Server User Interface, run the DMS configuration wizard to create a new Registration Space. Take note of the special identifier.

Note: If you do not want to create a new Registration Space, you can modify the authentication schemes for an existing environment.

Important! If you are running this wizard on Windows Server 2008, run the executable file with Administrator permissions, even if you are logged into the system as an Administrator. For more information, see the release notes for your SiteMinder component.

  2. In the System tab, click Authentication Schemes.

In the right pane, SiteMinder lists the available authentication schemes.

  3. Double-click one of the authentication schemes that the DMS configuration wizard created.

    The authentication schemes are:

    DMSv2 0 Self Reg

    DMSv2 0 Admin

    DMSv2 0 Deny

    DMSv2 special identifier Admin

  4. In the Target field, change the default target to include the form that you want to use. The sample FCC files that are provided for internationalization end with the letter i.

    For example, change

    /siteminderagent/dmsforms/login-dms.fcc

    to

    /siteminderagent/dmsforms/login-dms-i.fcc

  5. Click OK.
  6. Repeat steps 3-5 until you have changed the Target field in the DMS authentication schemes to point to the forms that you want to use.
