Parameter field

Required parameters.

The requirements of the shared library created with the SiteMinder APIs determine the parameters required by the Policy Server for the custom user directory connection.

For example, using third-party APIs, you may have built a shared library that the SiteMinder APIs need to call. You can use the Parameter field to specify that third-party library.

Max Time field

Maximum search time for the user directory connection.

This is the time, in seconds, the Policy Server will search for results in the custom user directory. If the appropriate results cannot be found in the time specified in the field, the Policy Server returns an error message.

Max Results field

Maximum number of results that the Policy Server can return when searching the custom user directory.

When the Policy Server searches the custom user directory, the results of the search are limited to the amount you enter in this field.
