User Directory Dialog—WinNT Namespace—Directory Credentials and Connection Tab

The Credentials and Connection tab of the User Directory Dialog contains the Administrator Credentials group box. This group box is where you specify whether or not credentials are required for user directory access. If credentials are required for access to the WinNT directory, you must provide SiteMinder with the appropriate credentials in the Administrator Credentials group box in order for the Policy Server to access the user directory.

A SiteMinder Web Agent can provide a Windows user security context for accessing Web resources in IIS Web servers. In the Credentials and Connection tab, you can specify whether or not SiteMinder should provide a Windows user security context. This enables the IIS server to enforce Windows access control mechanisms.

Note: Before SiteMinder can provide the Windows user security context, you must configure a session store and enable persistent sessions on a per realm basis.
