Configure an Agent Group

Before adding agents to an agent group, you should configure the agent group.

Note: When you create or modify a Policy Server object in the Policy Server User Interface, use ASCII characters. Object creation or modification with non-ASCII characters is not supported.

To configure an agent group

  1. Log into the Policy Server User Interface.
  2. From the menu bar of the SiteMinder Administration window, select View, Agent Groups.

    The Policy Server places a check mark in the View menu to the left of the menu selection and Agent Groups appear in the System tab of the SiteMinder Administration window.

    Note: If there is already a check next to Agent Groups in the View menu, selecting the option again will remove Agent Groups from the System tab.

  3. From the menu bar of the SiteMinder Administration window, select Edit, System Configuration, Create Agent Group.

    The Agent Group Properties dialog opens.

  4. In the Name field enter the name of the new Agent group.
  5. In the Description field, enter a brief description of the Agent group.
  6. In the Agent Type group box, select the type of Agents to include in the Agent group: SiteMinder or RADIUS.
  7. Do one of the following:
  8. Go to Add Agents to an Agent Group.
