Configure an Agent Group
Before adding agents to an agent group, you should configure the agent group.
Note: When you create or modify a Policy Server object in the Policy Server User Interface, use ASCII characters. Object creation or modification with non-ASCII characters is not supported.
To configure an agent group
- Log into the Policy Server User Interface.
- From the menu bar of the SiteMinder Administration window, select View, Agent Groups.
The Policy Server places a check mark in the View menu to the left of the menu selection and Agent Groups appear in the System tab of the SiteMinder Administration window.
Note: If there is already a check next to Agent Groups in the View menu, selecting the option again will remove Agent Groups from the System tab.
- From the menu bar of the SiteMinder Administration window, select Edit, System Configuration, Create Agent Group.
The Agent Group Properties dialog opens.
- In the Name field enter the name of the new Agent group.
- In the Description field, enter a brief description of the Agent group.
- In the Agent Type group box, select the type of Agents to include in the Agent group: SiteMinder or RADIUS.
- Do one of the following:
- If you selected the SiteMinder agent type, select Web Agent from the drop-down list.
- If you selected the RADIUS Agent Type, you must also select a vendor from the drop-down list.
- Go to Add Agents to an Agent Group.
