Configure a Realm Protected by a RADIUS Agent

The Policy Server User Interface allows you to configure realms protected by a RADIUS Agent. These realms do not require all of the same information that is required for a SiteMinder Web Agent realm.

Note: When you create or modify a Policy Server object in the Policy Server User Interface, use ASCII characters. Object creation or modification with non-ASCII characters is not supported.

To configure a realm on a RADIUS Agent

1. Create a realm object in the Policy Server User Interface using the Realm Dialog.
2. In the Realm Dialog, provide a Name and (optional) Description for the realm object.
3. Configuring resource properties in the Resource tab.
   • In the Resource group box specify a RADIUS Agent and authentication scheme.
   • Enter a RADIUS Agent name or an Agent group name in the Agent field, or choose from a list of existing Agents and Agent Groups using the Lookup button.

     Note: SiteMinder uses the selected scheme to establish the identity of a user who attempts to access a resource in the realm.

4. Configure session properties in the Session tab.
5. Click Apply to save the realm or click OK to save the realm and return to the SiteMinder Administration window.
