Create an Agent Configuration Object without Using an Existing One

To create an Agent Configuration Object, you need to add all of the desired parameters, including the parameter names.

Note: When you create or modify a Policy Server object in the Policy Server User Interface, use ASCII characters. Object creation or modification with non-ASCII characters is not supported.

To create an agent configuration object

  1. In the Policy Server User Interface, ensure that the System tab is active.
  2. Right-click the node labeled Agent Conf Objects.
  3. Select Create Agent Conf Object.
  4. In the Name field of the Agent Configuration Object Properties dialog, enter a name for the Agent Configuration Object.
  5. If you wish, in the Description field, enter a name for the Agent Configuration Object.
  6. To specify parameters, click Add.
  7. Use the Edit Parameter Dialog to specify parameters and values for your system.

Although you can specify multiple values for some parameters, each parameter name must be unique.

  8. Click Apply to write each parameter to the policy store.
  9. When you are finished adding parameters, click OK to close the Edit Parameter Dialog.
