View the Properties of a Policy Server Object

Policy server objects contain numerous properties that can be viewed individually or as a group. The next section will describe how to view multiple objects. If you wish to view the properties of only a single object, however, use the following procedure.

To view the properties of a policy server object

1. Log into the Policy Server User Interface.
2. In the Object pane, click on the System Configuration or the Policy Domain Configuration tab.

   The tab you select depends on whether the object must be configured by an administrator with the Manage All System and Domain Objects privilege or the Manage Domain Objects privilege.

   Note: If you login as an administrator for specific policy domains, there are no tabs to chose from in the Object pane. Instead, the available objects are simply listed in the Object pane.

3. In the Object pane, click on an object type.

   The List pane displays all existing objects of the selected type.

4. In the List pane, do one of the following:
   • Double click on the object you want to view.
   • Click on the object you want to view and click the View Properties button in the tool bar.

     

   • Click on the object you want to view and from the menu bar, select Edit , Properties of <object type>.
   • Right click on the object you want to view and from the menu, select Properties of <object type>.

     The system displays the appropriate dialog with the current properties of the selected object.

5. When you have finished viewing the properties, click the OK button to save the object and close the dialog.
