Run the Configuration Wizard for the CA SiteMinder® SessionLinker

The configuration wizard configures your CA SiteMinder® SessionLinker with the settings you want. Run the configuration wizard on each computer where you installed the CA SiteMinder® SessionLinker software.

To run the configuration wizard for the CA SiteMinder® SessionLinker

Note: To run the wizard on a UNIX or Linux operating environment in GUI mode by Telnet or other emulation software, run an XWindows session in the background. Set the DISPLAY variable to your local terminal, as shown in the following example:

DISPLAY=127.0.0.1:0.0
export DISPLAY
  1. Execute the appropriate file for your operating environment:

    Note: To use console mode, open a console window and then run the previous command with the -i console option.

    The configuration wizard starts.

  2. Follow the prompts in the wizard. Use the information from your configuration worksheet to enter the information.

    If SessionLinker is configured with apache webserver on a UNIX platform, start the sessionlinker daemon.

    Note: On UNIX platforms you should consider adding the daemon service to system startup script or you will have to manually start the daemon after a reboot.
