Gather the Information for the SessionLinker Configuration Wizard

The configuration wizard for the SessionLinker requires the following information:

Components to configure

Specifies the CA SiteMinder® components installed on the same computer with which the CA SiteMinder® SessionLinker operates.

Example: Policy Server

Example: Web Agent

Policy Server Location

Specifies the installation directory of the CA SiteMinder® Policy Server for the computer on which you are configuring the CA SiteMinder® SessionLinker. If the wizard does not detect the proper directory automatically, navigate to the one you want.

Example: (Windows) C:\Program Files\CA\siteminder

Example: (UNIX/Linux ) home_directory/CA/siteminder

Web Agent Location

Specifies the installation directory of the CA SiteMinder® Web Agent for the computer on which you are configuring the CA SiteMinder® SessionLinker. If the wizard does not detect the proper directory automatically, navigate to the one you want.

Example: (Windows) C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\webagent

Example: (UNIX/Linux ) home_directory/CA/webagent

SessionLinker Log Location

Note: This parameter is configurable through the wizard only on Windows platforms.

Specifies the location and the name of the SessionLinker log file.

Example: C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\sessionlinker\DaemonService.log

Log Level

Note: This parameter is configurable through the wizard only on Windows platforms.

Specifies one of the following log levels:

0

Disables logging. Log files are not kept.

1

Records errors in initialization and communication only. These messages appear with ERR in the log file.

Important! The highest logging level we recommend for production environments is 1. Higher levels quickly produce large log files.

Records informational errors, possibly suggesting the cause of the problem. The specific cause is not always shown. These messages appear with INF in the log file.

Records debugging information. These messages appear with DBG in the log file.
