"Version Mismatch...Cannot install version 3.2.0.284 over an existing version" Error

You installed CA SOI r3.1 SP1 in a location other than the installer default or on a drive letter on than C:. You tried to upgrade the Integration Services by running IntegrationServices.exe, but received the following error:

“Version Mismatch”  “Cannot install version 3.2.0.284 over an existing version.”

Follow these steps:

1. Verify that CA SOI r3.1 SP1 is installed:
   1. Locate and open the following file: SOI_HOME\patches\SOIPatchLog.his.
   2. Locate the string "RO60285." If the string exists, the patch is installed.
2. Locate the following file: SOI_HOME\resources\version.properties.
3. Copy the file to one of the following locations:
   • 32-bit OS: C:\Program Files\CA\SOI\resources\version.properties
   • 64-bit OS: C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SOI\resources\version.properties
4. Run the IntegrationServices.exe installer.
