You can experience a problem when clicking the Preference button or About button on the Dashboard. In some situations, the respective dialogs do not open.
This problem seems to be due to a missing registration of jscript.dll during the upgrade of Internet Explorer 7.x to 8.x. To register jscript.dll, open a command prompt and enter "regsvr32 jscript.dll."
