You define all CA SOI users in CA EEM except the "samuser" administrator user that you created during installation. However, the "samuser" user has limitations that prevent it from performing all product operations. Therefore, you create users in CA EEM to administer and use the product and use the "samuser" user only when the users in CA EEM are inaccessible.
You can integrate CA EEM with LDAP; you then perform all user additions in LDAP.
You define the privileges to services and other product features at the user group level. You can configure privileges in the Operations Console.
You can also configure preferences in the Operations Console by selecting View, Preferences.
For more information about creating users, using role-based security, and preferences, see the Administration Guide.
