Component Overview

The following list describes the components that are required for an integration between CA SOI and ServiceNow. The list also includes the component location and the component installation location. For more information about installing and implementing these components, see Implementation Overview and How to Configure ServiceNow Integration.

CA Catalyst Container

Provides the prerequisite container for the CA Catalyst connector for ServiceNow. Install the CA Catalyst Container provided with this package.

Note: Install the CA Catalyst Container first.

If you have a connector that uses the CA Catalyst Container, you can use the same container for this connector as long as it is a compatible version.

CA Process Automation Installation Media

Provides required third-party components, the CA Process Automation product, and CA Process Automation documentation. We recommend that you install CA Process Automation on a separate server.

EEMServer_8.4.100.0

Provides CA EEM for all supported platforms. CA EEM is required if you plan to use it to authenticate CA Process Automation users. The CA EEM installer is on disk 2 of the CA Process Automation installation media. However, We recommend using the existing CA EEM server that is used with CA SOI for the CA Process Automation authentication.

ITPAM_Server_Files

Provides the CA SOI process definitions for CA Process Automation. Find this directory in the ITPAM-ServiceNow folder in the provided package. The files in this directory belong on the CA Process Automation server, or the location where the CA Process Automation JNLP Client runs.

CA Catalyst Connector for ServiceNow

Provides the CA Catalyst connector for an integration with ServiceNow. CA Process Automation makes requests to ServiceNow through this connector. Install the connector on the same system as the CA Catalyst Container.
