CA Event Integration, which is installs when you install the Event connector, also supports a high availability implementation. During CA Event Integration installation, if any cluster-aware CA SOI components exist on the system, the installation automatically selects the cluster group that CA SOI uses for the CA Event Integration resources. If CA SOI does not exist on the system, the installer attempts to select the best cluster resource group for the CA Event Integration resources. By default, it selects the group with SQL Server resources, which is also the group that CA SOI uses. You can manually select the group to use, and installations are blocked on groups without a physical disk and network resources.
The following CA Event Integration resources appear in the cluster group after a successful installation:
CA Event Integration services require a service account user that you specify during the installation. This user must meet the user privilege criteria that is described in High Availability Toolkit User Privileges.
You do not have to run the High Availability Resource Kit for CA Event Integration. The rest of the process is similar to the CA SOI process:
