How to Set Up Load Balancing

To load balance the existing nodes using Apache HTTP Server, follow these instructions. This process applies to all types of CA Service Catalog and CA Workflow clusters. Perform this process after you have set up all cluster nodes.

1. Install Apache Web Server load balancer for Windows version 2.2.22. You can download it from the Apache web site, apache.org.

   Note: For instructions, see the Apache Web Server documentation.

   The default installation folder is C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2.

2. Configure Apache HTTP Server.
3. (Optional) Disable web server features.
4. Create and configure the workers.properties file.
5. Create the uriworkermap.properties file.
6. Update the httpd.conf file.
7. Disable the HTTP Ports of the cluster computers.
8. Verify load balancing.
