Add a Data View

You use data views to define the presentation of a data object. Use column rules to configure how each field in the data object appears in a report.

Follow these steps:

  1. Click Administration, Report Builder.

    The Report Builder page appears, with Data Objects selected in the left menu under the main menu.

  2. Click Data Views in the left menu.

    The list of existing data view folders appears.

  3. Click Create Data View.

    The Data View page appears.

  4. Complete the fields. Use the Choose Data Object icon to select a data object to use for this data view.
  5. (Optional) Configure column rules for the data view.
  6. Click Save.

    The Catalog system saves the data view.

You have added the new data view.
