How to Configure a Server

If the user name or password values that CA Service Catalog uses to communicate with CA Service Desk Manager change for any reason, perform either or both of the following steps, as applicable. Reasons for changing these values are explained in How to Plan and Perform the Integration.

Both of the following procedures apply only if you are using CA Workflow to open change orders during request fulfillment; otherwise, skip these procedures.

  1. Configure the authentication and logon methods CA Service Desk Manager primary server, as explained in Configure Server Authentication and Logon Methods.
  2. This step applies only if you are using PKI-based access control and if you are using CA Workflow to open change orders during request fulfillment.

If both these conditions are true and if the user name or password value that the CA Service Catalog implementation of CA Workflow uses to communicate with CA Service Desk Manager changes for any reason, re-generate the access policy certificate file with the new CA Service Desk Manager user name and password values in the CA Service Desk Manager CA Workflow process definitions, as explained in How to Generate a Policy Key File.
