Run the Upgrade Program

Run the CA Service Catalog upgrade program to upgrade the base files required to run the CA Service Catalog components successfully. The base files include CA Service Catalog code, CA Technologies licensing code, Apache Tomcat, Java Runtime Environment (JRE), and other third-party software. The base files are required on every CA Service Catalog computer. You can optionally upgrade and cluster multiple instances of CA Service Catalog.

Follow these steps:

1. On the CA Service Catalog installation media, run the CA_Service_ Catalog.exe file.

   The upgrade program opens.

2. Supply the requested information and follow the prompts to complete the upgrade.

   Important! If you want to use custom port numbers, specify them in the fields provided. This requirement applies even if you specified custom port numbers in the previous release.

3. (Optional) If necessary, upgrade CA Service Catalog on additional computers, one at a time, using the previous steps.

You have upgraded the base files.
