You can use inheritance to create service option group. The inherited (dependent) service option group has the same characteristics as the parent service option group from which it was created. However, the items of the dependent service option elements appear in blue. The blue color indicates that these items are inherited and have not been changed since they were copied.
The following rules apply to the inheritance relationship:
When you manually update an inherited item, its color temporarily changes from blue to red. The red color indicates the following:
After the initial manual update, the temporary red color changes to black. The black color indicates that the item is a base (non-inherited) item.
