Provision Services

The creation of service templates enables one-click service provisioning for Service Consumers.

Note: This procedure provisions the service immediately. If you want to provision the service at a specified time, use Reservation Manager to make a reservation using the reservation template for the service.

Follow these steps:

  1. Click Resources, and in the Explore tree, select OnDemand Services, Service Templates. In the Service Templates pane, click the Provision Service icon for the service to provision.
  2. Input a name for the provisioned service instance.
  3. (Optional) Click Advanced and select from the available applications to deploy them with the service template.

Note: Additional applications deploy and execute according to their application definition. Only applications that are dependent on applications already in the service template are available for selection.

  4. (Optional) Provide any additional inputs that the application definitions in the service template specify.
  5. Click OK.

CA Server Automation provisions the requested service instance and adds it to the list of resources under OnDemand Resources in the Explore tree. Track the status of the provisioning in the Jobs pane.
