Symptom:

During authentication of the Microsoft SQL Server credentials during installation, a message appears indicating a problem.

Solution:

Verify the following items:

• Your credentials are correct.
• Remote SQL Server instance has TCP/IP enabled.
• Server is listening on the port specified.
