RSI and ITCM Servers
Symptom:
If both CA Software Delivery and Rapid Server Imaging (RSI) servers are installed, provisioning tasks (for example, offline capture, capture driverset, deploy) can fail with the following error:
Check server for boot configuration errors. (Is network boot enabled?)
This occurs when the RSI server needs to answer PXE boot requests, but the CA-Unicenter ManagedPC Boot Server answers them instead.
Solution:
To configure the CA-Unicenter ManagedPC Boot Server to ignore PXE boot requests, follow these steps:
- Log on to the CA ITCM user interface.
- From Explorer, navigate to Control Panel, Configuration, Configuration Policy.
- Right-click on Default Computer Policy, and select Un-Seal.
- Navigate to DSM Explorer, Scalability Server, OSIM, ManagedPC, Server.
- In the right panel, select "User Answer Control List" and change the Value to 2 (two).
- Navigate back to Default Computer Policy, and select Seal.
