Create Applications and Services

Create an Application

Create an Application so that users can log in using the methods you choose. The Application is also used as the basis for a Service.

Follow these steps:

  1. Login to the CA CloudMinder Console.
  2. Navigate to Applications, Applications, Create Application.
  3. Complete the following configuration fields:
    1. Name: [appId]
    2. Launch URL:
      [baseUrl]/affwebservices/public/wsfeddispatcher/[disambiguationId]?wa=wsignin1.0&wtrealm=urn:federation:MicrosoftOnline&wctx=https://portal.microsoftonline.com
      
    3. Logo: Select an image for the application logo.
    4. Configure at least one Authentication Method.
    5. Enter other settings as desired.
    6. Submit the Application.

Create a Service

Use this procedure to create a Service with a Launch Task so that users can SSO from CA CloudMinder to Office 365 by clicking a link on their home screen.

Follow these steps:

  1. Login to the CA CloudMinder Console.
  2. Navigate to Services, Service Wizard, Create Service.
  3. Enter the following settings:
    1. Profile
      • Name: [serviceName]
      • Tag: [serviceName] (without spaces)
      • Enabled: checked
      • Self Subscribing: checked if you want to allow users to request the service
    2. In Actions, add a new service action: Launch Role.
    3. Configure the Launch Role with the following settings:
      • Select the "Create a new launch role for an application" check box.
      • Select Application: [appId]
      • Launch Role Name: [appId] Launch Role
      • Edit the Launch Role Task
      • Task Name: [serviceName]
  4. Click OK, and then OK.
  5. Add a new service action: Provisioning Role.
  6. Browse and Select: [domain] Office 365 User.
  7. Submit the Service.
