Install On-Premise Connector Server
Install the Connector Server on the Windows domain machine that is configured with Windows Azure AD Module for Windows PowerShell.
This process requires the following three steps:
1. Configure CA CloudMinder
2. Install the Connector Server
3. Configure the On-Premise Connector Server
Follow These Steps:
1. Configure CA CloudMinder
To configure CA CloudMinder, follow these steps:
- Log in to the CA CloudMinder Console.
- Navigate to System, Manage Connector Server, Servers, Add.
- Add the On-Premise Connector Server by completing the following:
- Name: [tenantId] Connector Server
- Domain: im
- Allowed Tenant: [tenantId]
- Tenant Host ID: <blank>
2. Install the Connector Server
To install the Connector Server, follow these steps:
- Login to the Windows domain machine as an administrator.
- Run the setup.exe for the Connector Server.
Note: Legacy Connector Server (C++) Management is NOT required!
- Clear the Register this installation with a Provisioning Server check box.
- Complete the following Cloud CA CloudMinder IAM Connector Server Details:
- Select the "Provide the Cloud CA IAM Connector Server details? check box.
- Domain: im
- Server URL: [baseUrl]:443/gateway/request/tenant/[tenantId]/
- Tenant Name: [tenantId]
- Tenant Host ID: <blank>
- Username: [tenantAdmin]
- Password: [tenantAdminPassword]
- Component Password: [connectorServerPassword]
- Port Configuration: use default values
- HTTP Proxy settings: configure if an HTTP proxy is used to access the Internet
- Activate FIPS: unchecked
- Enable DirSync: checked
- Click Next, and then Finish.
3. Configure the On-Premise Connector Server
To configure the on-premise Connector Server, follow these steps:
- Access the CloudMinder Console URL
Note: you do not need to log in.
- Use your browser to download the SSL certificate, DER encoded
- Log in to the On-Premise Connector Server Console with the following credentials:
- Default: http://localhost:20080
- Username: admin
- Password: [connectorServerPassword]
- Navigate to Certificates, Add.
- Complete the following fields:
- File Type: Certificate
- Certificate: <choose the certificate you downloaded>
- Alias: Cloud Connector Server
- Click OK.
- Open Windows PowerShell and set the Execution Policy:
Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned
