PRPU - PRINTER and PUNCH

PRPU001E Incompatible line command with field change

A line command was entered while also changing a field. The line command is not allowed with the field that was changed. Enter another line command or clear the line command field.

PRPU002E Devices must have at least one destination

The attempt to delete the last selection destination for a printer or punch has failed because no destination is defined. Define at least one destination name.

PRPU003E Device must be active for the <linecmd> line command

The line command <linecmd> is specified for an inactive device. The device must be active before using the line command <linecmd>. Clear the line command to continue.

PRPU004I Same job not active anymore

The job that the line command was entered for has finished printing or punching and is no longer active. Clear the line command to continue, or issue the REFRESH subcommand to update the display.

PRPU005I No authorized devices to display

There are no authorized printers or punches to display. At least one printer or punch matches the parameters entered, but it is not authorized for the user. Issue another PRINTER or PUNCH command, or issue the REFRESH subcommand to update the display.

PRPU006E Device must be halted (Z) first

The command has been issued before the device has been halted. Issue the Z line command to halt the printer or punch. Then issue the command again.

PRPU007E A job has not been selected with the <linecmd> line command

The M line command was entered without first selecting a job using the PR or PU line command. Select a job with the PR or PU line command from the Job Queue or Output Queue display before using the M line command.

PRPU008A Select a device by using the M line command

The PR or PU line command was used on the Jobs or Output Queue display. The next step is to select a device for the output to print or punch. Select a device by entering the M line command next to the printer or punch where the output should print or punch. The attributes of the device will be modified so that jobs with characteristics like the job selected with the PR or PU line command will be selected by the device. The device will also be started.
