Update Auto-switchable Tape Drive Definitions

During express setup, the region creates tape drive definitions by using a standard template. If a defined tape drive is auto-switchable, you need to change its template.

To update an auto-switchable tape drive definition in a shared system image

1. Enter /RADMIN.I.SHR.

   The Shared System Image List panel appears listing the defined shared system images.

2. Enter R beside the image into which you have just moved TAPE class definitions.

   The Resources List panel appears listing the resources defined in the image.

3. Enter U beside the tape drive definition, access the General Description panel, and update as follows:
   1. Delete the value in the Type field.
   2. Enter L beside the current template name.

      The Tape or Cartridge Template List panel appears listing the available templates.

   3. Enter R beside the ASTAPE template.

      The definition is updated by values from the template.

4. Press F3 (File).

   The updated definition is saved.
