Test the Starting and Stopping Methods

A resource definition uses the starting and stopping methods to control a resource.

To test the specified starting and stopping methods of a resource

1. Ensure that the resource is in the MANUAL operation mode.
2. Enter A, T, or TF beside the resource to start or stop the resource manually.

   The starting or stopping method is executed.

3. Check the following settings if the actual state is not as required:
   • Specified starting or stopping method is correct.
   • Specified message rules are correct. Use the transient log to check the messages.
4. Correct the error.
